Simone Roodselaar is a contemporary abstract artist based in the Netherlands.
Her work explores the invisible relationships that shape the way we experience ourselves, each other and the world around us. Through layered visual fields, rhythm and colour, she investigates how perception, connection and transformation influence human experience.
Rather than depicting a fixed reality, her paintings create space for reflection. Meaning does not reside solely within the artwork, but emerges through the encounter between painting and viewer. Each work remains open to personal interpretation, allowing every viewer to bring their own experiences into the dialogue.
Roodselaar's oeuvre unfolds through three conceptual series, each representing a distinct chapter within an ongoing artistic exploration. Together, they form a continuous artistic exploration of perception, transformation and the invisible relationships that shape human experience.
Every painting originates from a personal reflection. These reflections are intentionally not presented on this website. They are part of the Visual Journey, created for collectors and those who wish to explore the work beyond the visible image.
